  • Opportunity Cost (You can't make money if you don't spend money?)
  • The Envelope System
  • Prudent
  • Budget = Freedom (Why have one?  More for "fun".  Really?)
  • 4 pieces of pie (How to Start a Budget)
  • Nobody Knows Nothing
  • Hard to Spend CASH
  • Easiest way to save money is to...Have someone save it FOR you!
  • Impulse Tool:  what you net in an hour= formula for purchase
  • 4 catagories:  Future (15%), Taxes (25%), Fun (15%) and Foundation (45%)

Step 1:  Class discussion over the above "take aways" from our video clips.

Step 2:  DollarBird Check:  The last 15 minutes of class, I will check your SEVEN expenses recorded in your DollarBird account for grade.  Remember, 40% don't even TRY.

Due Tuesday (Assignment):

Step 3:  With your notes and with our class discussion information, write a one page report discussing and summarizing the video clips. I will provide access to the videos we watched, if you want or need to refer to the information.

Click HERE to access The videos in your Google Drive.

The one page report (I would like you to use WORD,  Bring your printed copy to class on TUESDAY. It will be graded as a summative class project. It should be formatted as follows:
  • One paragraph introduction to the sources and the
PURPOSE for writing the report. (around 250 words)
(Not because I am assigning it!)
  • A TITLE
  • A Table organizing the videos and the main idea(s) presented in the video
  • A One paragraph SUMMARY (again, around 250 words) that lists (you can use bullets or numbers)  YOUR THREE top take-away advice from the experts.
  • An image or diagram or photo or illustration that might bring interest to the report.
Make sure you PROOFREAD the paper.  Make sure it has your NAME on it, and it has been formatted.  I will not require a works cited for this report, but know, in  general, a report should include citing of your sources.
