Objective: Work from your paper copy while listening to the tutorial. Complete the formatting for a second MLA style report, "The Selfie Phenomenon". As you format and key the multiple page report, you will practice basic formatting for an MLA style report.
Step 1. Your tutorial is only 3:00 minutes today! Watch for a quick lesson and review in formatting MLA reports. Click HERE and let's get started!
Step 2: If you finish, please explore the WHS Database. Review at least THREE of the resources provided. We will use the resources next week as we continue our MLA formatting and create our Work Cited page.

Step 1: Watch THIS tutorial and set up (or access your account if you already have one) your NoodleTools.
Step 2: Continue your work on "Tips For Being Successful in High School" assignment. The handouts are on the back counter. (MLA-1)
Step 3: If you finish both the Noodle Tool setup AND the MLA-1 assignment, please use the rest of the class to look at the password document table provided. Could you organize this table better than it is organized now? Use your time to access and explore the resources we have through the WHS Library. Or, check out all the great photo galleries in the Westside Wired publications! OR, spend some time organizing your desktop--mine gets out of control on a DAILY basis. Who couldn't use a little time to sort, clean up, and throw things to the trash!
A Fresh Start: MLA STYLE formatting

Objective: Today we will look at the basic steps to format a multiple page report, using MLA style. (Modern Language Association). We will understand why MLA format is used, and why it is important we follow the guidelines precisely.
Step 1: Click HERE to access another great resource. I suggest you preview the information before you begin this assignment.
Step 2: Begin by watching the tutorial. I will ask you to PAUSE the tutorial and complete a specific task, then restart your tutorial again for the next step.
Step 3: IF you finish all steps for this assignment, please show me your work. You will need to complete this assignment before moving on to the next assignment on Day 24.
Monday: Substitute teacher day
Thank you for working with the substitute teacher today. I am at an FBLA conference. Please read the blog for instructions.
Objective: Today we will watch three videos and answer reflection questions.
Step 1: Access the site by clicking on the image below OR typing in the url from your paper handout.
Step 2: Complete the worksheet. When you finish, please bring your completed worksheet with your NAME on it to the substitute teacher. You should be able to complete the entire activity in class today.
Step 3: IF you should finish before the class is over, please be respectful of the other students and of our substitute teacher. Work on homework or listen quietly to music.
Objective Assessment: Part 2 of your test.
Objective: Today you will demonstrate use of resources and knowledge of basic terms in Word. You will complete a 50 point assessment test, which consists of multiple choice and T/F questions.
Step 1: You will need a pencil. Please listen to instructions on how to correctly complete your scantron form. Do NOT write on the test. IF you need to make a note, please use a piece of scratch paper.
Step 3: What should you do if you finish early? Please turn in your BEST tables for grading. Listen quietly to music, work on homework. Please do NOT talk while your classmates finish his or her tests.
